Department of English Profile           

Brief History of the Department :

                 The Department of English was started in the establishment year of the College i.e. 1989. Since then, the Department has been offering English Language and Literature for I and II B.A, B.Com and B.Sc Courses. The Department has successfully completed 33 academic years and sent out 90 % of the Students with good English knowledge.  It enriches the culture and develops social communication in the Students. The Language Lab is well equipped with latest technology. Availability of Digital Language Lab helps the students to improve the proficiency in English. The classes are engaged between 10.00 am and 4:00 pm. Between these hours, the students are engaged in regular and remedial classes. Besides, the students are encouraged to teach English to students in the local area Schools through their field trip.
